🏘️Global Housing Radar — August 2026
🚨Radar verdict Global Collateral Conditions Stalling!
Global collateral condition: 🟧 Stalling
Economic Winter signal: active and broadening, but not yet globally confirmed in nominal terms.
The latest available BIS country series now includes Q1 2026 for nine of the 11 tracked markets. The Netherlands and Sweden remain at Q4 2025 in the selected series available today. Dallas Fed has also released its Q1 2026 International House Price Database, which includes house prices and personal disposable income for 25 countries. (Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas)
The central finding is:
Only 27.3% of the tracked markets are negative year over year in nominal terms, but 36.4% are already falling over both the latest three-month and six-month windows.
That means the annual numbers still understate the deterioration in current momentum.
